Our Leadership

Call for Volunteers

We are looking forward to continuing our work on our flagship projects in the year ahead, including development of the certified mentorship program, creating and sharing engaging content with the community, and networking amongst current and aspiring railroaders, volunteers and enthusiasts. We could use your help with these efforts. We are currently seeking folks to serve on our committees:

  1. Education -- focused on getting educational programming like blog posts, virtual coffee hours, and webinars to the public

  2. Certified Mentorship -- focused on establishing and running the certified mentorship program

  3. Marketing --  focused on promoting NGR on social media, the website, and the newsletter, as well as any print marketing we need

You do not need to be a board member to serve on these committees. In fact, we really want non-board members to make sure we are serving the needs of the community.

If you are interested, or know someone who would be a good fit, please sign up below. A current committee will reach out with next steps!

See you at Amherst!

The NGR team is planning to have our boots on the ground at the Amherst show in Springfield at the end of the month. We hope you will look for the NGR crew - who will be sporting the NGR logo - across the event. Take a selfie with us and tag @nextgenrr to get the word out about all of the great stuff we’re doing. If you manage to find 3 or more of us, we may even have a fun surprise for you.

See you all around at Amherst! Until then, keep steaming ahead!

Best wishes,

The NGR Crew
